Ashwagandha root grading for wholesale buyers
When you buy Ashwagandha roots in wholesale lots, grading is less about a single certificate and more about clear, batch-wise conversation before you confirm volume.
What buyers usually check
- Dryness — roots should feel dry to touch; moisture issues show up in transit and storage.
- Sorting — fewer broken pieces and foreign matter for premium grades.
- Length and thickness — buyers often specify finger length or thickness bands for processing.
- Colour — consistent tan-brown appearance without mould or dark patches.
Grades are not universal labels
Different processors use different grade names. The useful approach is to:
- Share your end use (extract, powder, resale).
- Ask for photos or a short video of the current lot.
- Confirm packing and dispatch route before locking MOQ.
